Spittin Out The Amps

You kind of take it for granted that the electricity is going to always work. And, it does work!

But, winter is coming and it’s time to go over the system and make sure it’s ready for the freeze.

The power house. Yup, it needs a new roof.

There’s lots of parts to the hydro system. It’s a 24VDC alternator and that means it needs a battery bank to store and filter the electricity.

All topped up with distilled water
Charge controllers, main breaker panel and a 24VDC to 12VDC converter

So, Lord willing, it’s ready for the winter. And hopefully the modified water intake system isn’t going to suffer too much when the frazil ice happens. And you know it’s going to happen…

Redesigned the intake. Let’s see what happens.
