From driving on the Arctic Ocean to basking in the warmth of El Salvador, life has been interesting lately!

The main reason I went there was to go to church. I met the pastor of the only English speaking church in El Salvador, Theo, online and he said that if I came there he’d give me a tour, be able to join in a bible study and catch a Sunday service. I’ve been talking about going there for a couple of years but just never pulled the trigger. I mentioned going there to my wife and she said she didn’t want to hear about it again unless I was actually going there. So, before I could change my mind I booked the flight and an Airbnb.

My Airbnb host, Miguel, was awesome! I was going to hire a taxi for a day to go sightseeing but when I told him that he said, “No way, I’m going to give you the best tour! Where do you want to go?” So we went to the beach, La Libertad, El Tunco, and Surf City.
Just an amazing day….

One thing about El Salvador that sucks is the traffic! It’s like rush hour everywhere all the time. So we slowly made our way back to San Salvador where we wandered around the downtown area.

Pastor Theo of the Union Church of El Salvador

Cool God story…
About a month before I went, I came across a post about a guy who had a ministry that takes in young girls who are victims of sexual abuse and who ended up getting pregnant. Normally I don’t just send money to random people on the internet but something, or Someone, prompted me to send a few bucks to support his ministry. I mentioned that to Theo and he laughed and said, “That’s Bob! He goes to our church!” Like I said, cool God story…

A few people have asked me if I’m going back and the answer is yes! I can’t wait!
God bless you El Salvador!
